SIX-DAY ALGOMA WILDERNESS  CHALLENGE SNOWMOBILE TOUR
 

Guided tours start with your arrival in Sault Ste. Marie, where you will immediately be made to feel welcome with a fine dinner and get-together.  You will meet your hosts, guide and fellow travelers and gain some last minute insight into what this experience holds for you.  Equipment checklists and a briefing on current trail conditions and weather status will be provided.  The next morning, after a leisurely breakfast, riders will depart for a destination of between 150 and 200 miles.  Following the first day, the tour will be more aggressive, averaging approximately 200 miles of snowmobile trails per day.

The tour will travel through a variety of terrain, from the winding and hilly snowmobile trails of the rugged and scenic Canadian Shield to the flat and straight snowmobile trails of the James Bay frontier to the north.  Communities of Northern Ontario are sparse and wilderness travel is the emphasis of the tour with up to 100 miles between gas and meal stops.  Accommodations will be in modern hotels, motels or lodges.

Our service for  guided wilderness snowmobile tours provide all accommodations, meals, non-alcoholic beverages and trail permits.

Guests are expected to provide their own sled, insurance, fuel, proper clothing and adventurous spirit.

All sleds are expected to be in good mechanical condition capable of operating for over a thousand miles of snowmobile trails without major repairs.  Machines are occasionally required to operate for 100 miles between fill ups so carrying gas may be a requirement if machines are hard on fuel.

Snowmobile rentals are available.  For those requiring appropriate outer snowmobile clothing and helmets, we have a variety available at reasonable rates.
