TRAVEL INFORMATION

RESERVATION AND PAYMENT POLICY:

Custom Packages are designed to meet a specific group's expectations and time frame:

If your group would rather travel with other vacationers, you may select one of our packaged wilderness tours.

NOTE: Custom Package Rates are effective on booking, and the Total Group Cost is calculated at time of booking

  • One contact representative for each group is required.
  • Names of all riders and description of sleds including make, model, year and registration number required at time of booking, along with description of riders' experience.
  • $250.00 deposit is required per participant at time of booking reservation; the deposit is non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation due to weather or unsafe trail conditions.
  • Balance of Total Group Cost is due 30 days prior to scheduled departure.
  • If balance is not paid 30 days prior to departure, tour will be cancelled and deposit forfeited.
 

CANCELLATION AND REPLACEMENT POLICY:

  • If your tour is cancelled by Algoma Sled Tours for any reason including lack of snow or unsafe trail conditions, all funds submitted will be refunded.
  • Replacement and additional riders may be submitted in writing, 30 days prior to departure.
 

LIABILITY:

  • Safety is a priority for all Algoma Sled Tours' activities and due diligence is exercised in establishing and maintaining safe tours.
  • Algoma Sled Tours operates as an agent, coordinating top of the line vacations, but accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage or injury to persons or property in the operation of snowmobiles, delivery of services and accommodation by private facilities, delays, substitution or cancellation of tour components, and any other unforeseen events beyond its direct control.
  • Tour participants are responsible for their own conduct and Algoma Sled Tours maintains the right to refuse or reject any participant in the tour.
  • Tour participants are responsible for licensing, registration, insurance and other matters. Algoma Sled Tours reserves the right to inspect such documentation at any time prior to or during the tour.
  • Tour participants are responsible for operating within the OFSC trail regulations and laws of Ontario.
  • Algoma Sled Tours reserves the right to make logistic changes and appropriate rate changes without notice.
 
TRAVEL INFORMATION FOR VISITORS TO CANADA:
  • Before you leave your country, call your credit card company to ensure your purchases will be hassle free while you're away.
  • Visitors from the United States should have travel documents such as a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship, as well as a photo ID.  For additional information about entry to Canada visit the Canada Border Services Agency website at www.cbsa.gc.ca.
  • For information about land travel to and from the United States, visit the  U.S. Customs & Border Protection website.
  • LEGAL ADVISORY:  Anyone having a criminal record (DUI, etc...) may be denied entry into Canada.     Discharge or waivers may be possible. For further information, please direct your  inquiries to Immigration Canada - 705-941-3104.
